Today I purchased a ANIB 3" 36 no dash Chief with a factory letter that shows that it shipped to Zales Corporation in Dallas in 1973. I remember there is a reference(s) in the SCSW book to revolvers shipped to Zales. Of course I can't find it when I am looking. Anyone with a better (younger) memory than mine remember which model that Zales is referenced in the book? I'd like to peruse that as I can't for the life of me think of why Smith and Wesson shipped revolvers to Zales. Either internal security maybe or a sales promotion? I know, no pics is a bad thing I just didn't get a chance to take any today with all the 4th activities.

Diamonds are a girl's best friend ! Thugs and Thieves are also pretty fond of them. A rolling wild west gun fight broke out a few years ago along a busy Street in Little Rock between Diamond Merchants and those who would rather steal things than work for them.

I imaginge Zale's wished to retain what was theirs as did those Merchants.
