Default 66 no dash hammer and trigger question

Are these the correct hammer and trigger for a 66 no dash? Or should they be case hardened?

The original 66 no dash had a silver rear sight and silver front sight without a red insert

I was sort of hoping that it would not be original so I would have a bit more leverage in the negotiation. I am quite tempted by it, but this is not an ideal time to add to the pile in my safe.

He is asking 750, which usually means that he expects 650 to 700.

Model 66 produced as an all stainless gun. Trigger and hammers were stainless steel. Early production had stainless sights later changed to blue. Most of them had the smaller magna grips.

That's a late no dash as it has the blued sights. I recently sold a 66-1 in like condition with box papers and tools for $700 if that is any guide

No extras and I wonder if the target stocks are original.

Perhaps the 2 1/2" barrel 66s came mostly with magnas I think the 4" barrel 66s came mostly with targets.

Thumbs up 66 no dash............

Nice gun, parts correct for that vintage, and if as nice as the picture shows the target stocks, "added value" and in a good price range for the package...I like it

The Model 66 (like the Model 19) with a 4-inch barrel was standard with target stocks made of Goncalo alves.

Welcome to the Forum

Actually, only the first few years of production had stainless triggers and hammers. Stainless on stainless galling caused the trigger quality to deteriorate rapidly and these were quickly deleted.

Most of the 66s with stainless sights had flash chromed hammers and triggers
