Default Model 25-5 Mfg Date

Hey guys, working out a trade deal on an Excellent Condition Model 25-5/4”bbl, blued, all original. The guy says it’s 1980 mfg, I have no reason to doubt him. Can you guys verify this for me with the following Serial # info: N8422xx. Throats mic’d at .452”/.453”, not worried about that, guy said it’s a range ace with standard loads, 800-900fps, .452” bullets. Thanks for any help!

SCSW lists SNs starting with N8 as 1980-1983. N6 and N7 series were also used in 1980. I have N764xxx, 4", which I think was also 1980 or thereabouts. .45 Colt is a fun cartridge to shoot, and to reload.
