15-2
This recent Gunbroker pickup fulfills a long time desire for a 2" Model 15.
In my opinion, one of the best looking S&W's ever made.

I ‘ve been eyeballing these myself as of late. How much do they weigh compared to the model 19 snub?

My 15-2 is the most accurate snub I own. Does amazing things at 50 feet.
Congrats on yours, you will love it.

That was a great pick-up! Congratulations. I found my 15-4 snub a couple of years ago. It is crazy accurate and really beautiful. There's just something special about the Md 15 snub with square butt frame.

I agree with you about the looks of the Model 15 snubby. They definitely set off the cool meter. My 2" 15-3 is easily the best shooting snubby I own. Enjoy yours and thanks for sharing.

Wow. Your photos could convince me to search out a "Model 10 with target sights." Kidding, of course. I usually fall for the M&Ps, but your Masterpiece is befitting of its name.

1. I love the Model 15.
2. Own and have owned quite a few.
3. Owned a snubby 15, sold it. Somehow
it just didn't look right with those sights
and decided to stick with the Model 10/64
for snubbies. (Certainly didn't shoot it
any better than the Model 10/64 snubbies.)
4. So, somewhere out there is a lovely snubby
just waiting for a new owner if it doesn't already
have one.

15-2
Your recently acquired 15-2 reminded me of my Model 15.....so I dug it out of it's hiding place and snapped a couple of photos. Had not seen it in a while. I've had both my snubby 15 and 19 to the range at the same time and I've a got to give a bit of an edge to the 15. It just feels a bit better when shooting.
Any way here is my 15-3 from 1971. Just a hint of bluing loss on both sides of barrel and a very imperceptible turn line.
Congratulations on a quality purchase.

Always wondered why Smith never made a round butt version or a 2" model 67.

I agree with you on the 2" 15. I looked off & on for around 2 years. Ended up with a 2", R.B. 10-5 instead. (not sorry) Bob

Model 15-3 2"
I looked for a long time before I found a 2" Model 15. I finally came across this nice Model 15-3 in late March of this year.
