1 of each. 396 Night Guard, and 329PD. Night guard is great for winter carry here in Dakota Territory.

Four .44 Magnums and one .41 Magnum.

A 6 1/2” 29-2, a 6” 29-3, a 6” 629, a 8 3/8” 629, and a 8 3/8” 57.

The 29s and 57 are nickled, and the 629s are of course stainless steel.

I have 1100fps LSWC loads worked up for the .44s so those would be equivalent to .44 Specials, and also 1400fps JHP rounds for hunting or protection here at the house.

I just started working up loads for all of them, and only have the 6.5” 29-2 done so far. I was planning on loading 1340fps or so loads in the JHP, but the 1400fps rounds turned out to be the most accurate by far in that revolver. It consistently cloverleafs a six-round group.

The .41 is 1350fps JHP rounds only.

I shoot more 1100fps rounds than 1400fps round though. I like either one but don’t want to beat the guns up with full-bore loads when I am just plinking.

Big difference in the two to shoot, that’s for sure!

I have 2 .44 Mags; a 6" 29-3 and a 4" 629-4 Mountain Gun.

I tend to shoot .44 Specials out of the 629 Mountain Gun 80% of the time and .44 Magnums 75% of the time out of the 29-3!

I have but one 44 that is perfect for my needs. I have never run factory ammo through my M69. The true magnums are still within book specs with 2400. Those are the woods/ hunting loads. Very accurate.

Most of my shooting of 44 is 10 gr Unique in mag cases. Enough boom to satisfy me with pleasant recoil.

It’s my first and only 44, no regrets.

Not really interested in 44spl a a carry gun, that’s what my Sig 220 and 220c are for.

If you count my rifles I have twelve 44 mags and no specials. I have never shot a 44 special or light 44 mag load.

10.0 Grains Unique in a 5" Pre 29 with a Keith bullet on top of a Magnum case for 1138fps. That's in the Magnums, both the Pre 29 and the 69.

245 Keith and 8 grains of Power Pistol in Special cases for 985 in a 4" 624 and in a 44 Ruger Bisley. Most accurate 44 load I've ever shot.

2 Specials, 1Mag. When I find a Ruger BH Flattop in 44 Special to replace the SBH the mag will be history.

Default 4

Four. All magnums. 2 629-1 3" and 8 3/8". 2 29's. A 29-2 and 29-10? Classic. Both 6 1/2".
Haven't shot much lately but shoot magnum most. Specials feel better in the 3".

Well, the ratio of guns is even, I have one of each. But I shoot .44 specials almost exclusively. I run about 1 box of mags a year in preparation for deer season. My mag is a pre 29 and I baby it!

A Triple Lock and Model of 1926 are on hand to cover the .44 Special.

A Model 29-2 shoots the .44 Magnum.

I shoot more 44 Special AMMO, but always thought it prudent to have the Magnum, since it shoots both loads. My favorite was the Mountain Gun - tapered barrel like the Special, but I could still shoot Magnums.

Four 44 magnums (3" M629, 4" M29, 6" M629, Rossi Lever Action), no Specials (just ordered my first, a Taurus 445) I currently shoot magnums almost exclusively, but I handload so they are light magnums. Significantly heavier than any suggested SPL load, but light magnums.

I have so say I love the heck out of 44 MAG because you can load it down to SPL levels, or up to nuclear blast levels. I've actually been thinking about selling off my 357s recently.

it's varied over the years....but right now it's 1 to 1. I've gotten ride of all my big honking 44 mags and the only one I have now is a 629 mountain gun. The 44 spl is a Teddy Jacobson tuned DAO 696 that remains one of my all time favorite guns. It's killed deer, groundhogs & squirrels.

Like most of us entering AARP's target age group, I've gravitated towards shooting more 38 spls over the last decade than anything else!

I own 1 .44 spec a 24-3 LH but looking for a Pre 24
4 .44 Mags. A Pre 29 4 inch, a 29 no dash 6.5, a 629 MG, And a 1894 Marlin Stainless .44. So its 1:4 ratio for me. I've been busy selling some .44 mags. I've sold 3 on S&W FORUM

I have 2 44 specials and 3 44 magnums. I rarely shoot 44 magnum ammo. I shoot the elmer keith load of 8.5 grains of unique and a 240 lead SWC in 44 mag brass in my magnums. I definitely prefer the 44 special to the 44 magnum. The 44 magnums still lead the way when hunting.

Since 44 Spl. loads can be shot in a 44 Mag.. I've only owned 44 Mag.. 2 at this time.

Reloading is a wonderful thing..
