Was anyone else watching this 29-3
This one just closed tonight I am a bit surprised at it going over $700 with the issues. What am I missing?

Someone looking for an N frame donor for a conversion in having barrel and cylinder ready to install would be it's purpose. I've kept pace on a few like this but opted out at $500.

Yes I thought if it didn't get much higher than $450 I might bid as I have some experience cutting and recrowning barrels but by the time you buy rear sights at over $100 it just didn't make sense unless you had the parts laying around...

It never ceases to amaze me as to what Bubba thinks he can do with a hacksaw and/or a Dremel.

That's a lot of money for a hammer.

I can't believe it would sell for much more than that without the cut on the barrel! What am I missing?
At least we know Bubba is alive and well.

Having just seen a Pristine 29-3 (6") NIB, sell this past weekend for just $725 I'm amazed that that one was anywhere near that amount. At the same auction a Pre-29, (4"), 98% (no box) went for $1550.

I read the description about a previous owner trying to saw it off at 4 inches, to me it doesn't look like that's what happened. There's pretty much chatter with the cut, it looks more accidental or very deliberate damage. Maybe someone's X got ahold of it during a divorce....

I think they were just trying to make it fit in their holster.
Gun Broker proves, on a daily basis, that there are a lot of people out there with more money than brains.

If you really want to know the scoop wait a couple weeks after the auction ends to see if the buyer and seller leave each other feedback. I have seen guns sold that this never happens on.
