Nice combination you've put together. I don't usually care for nickel guns, but that's gorgeous!

Those are some beautiful stocks man! I have 4 sets of John and Jennifer's myself, in Cocobolo, English Walnut, Kingwood and my newest set is Olive wood on my 629 Classic. John does fantastic work and the shape of his stocks fit me to the T.

Two of my favorite things on grips: that reddish hue and a glossy finish -really sets them off. Many of our members don't seem to care for glossy grips; I very much prefer them. Great job, Mr. and Mrs. Culina!
Regards,
Andy

Made my wife a jewelry box from padauk. Over time it turned into a beautiful ebony with orange-reddish streaks. Great wood! BTW, your grips look awesome.

Padauk is very porous, so to get that mirror finish it required many coats of finish.
Trying to decide now what I want next. I'm in Canada so some woods are restricted to import.
I'm liking that Olive wood and Ziracote. If anyone has those please post some pics.

I believe I can help you out with both.
Here is the Olive wood set I got from John and Jennifer a few months ago on my 629 Classic:
And here is my Coonan Classic wearing a set of Ziricote panels on it that I bought from The Finer Grain 4-5 years ago:

Cocobolo is as that was my first choice. Haven’t come across anything else yet. I can go to a store and buy cocobolo but as a finished product I guess it’s restricted.

What gorgeous work . I ordered a set from Culina not quite a month ago, I can’t wait for them to call for payment so I can get them on one of my N frames. Never seen such beautiful work!

Some stunning wood grain on this thread. The OP's stocks are gorgeous.
The olive wood appeals to me. I was given a salad bowl made of it, many years ago. It always felt cool, like jade, and a steel table knife wouldn't scratch it.
