2", 4", 6", K 38's
These are my K38 S&W's. 1950 4 screw K38 masterpiece 6", 4" 15-3 combat masterpiece( 1975) very lightly used, and a 2 " 15-3 combat masterpiece ( 1973), which I believe to be unfired. All i need now is a pristine 10-5 X 6" for a 10-5 2, 4, 6 quality set

Very nice bunch there.
But don't you also need an 8 3/8 inch barreled K-38 to complete the set?

There has always got to be one that does not care how they spend another's money. But, you let me off easy. You could have said " Where Is the nickel collection?"
Just kidding of course

I don't know what I want more, a Combat Masterpiece like yours or a "shooter". Hopefully I'll stumble on a high end shooter some day.
So, stupid question...besides the un-fired CM, do you shoot the other two? They all look pristine but that K38 has gotta be fun to shoot.

I have not shot any of them yet. I doubt I will shoot the 2 or 4 inch ones. Just me. The 6" I will shoot, but I only got it Thursday. I got the grips in anticipation a month ago

What about a 4 in model 14?
What about a "dayton".

And, let us not forget the 5" variation too!
I just love spending other people's money!

Those are model 14 guns. Maybe sometime, I may look at them, but the Dayton is pretty rare I believe. I had a 14 in the mid 70's. Traded it like a fool.
I did 2, 4, 6, in model 15, well kinda the K38 is pre 15. i think there eis a 15 @ 6", but not introduced till the 80's. I want older guns
I have a 2,4, and am looking for a pristine 10-5 X 6". I had one till a guy sent my MO back and backed out of the deal, and no he was not underselling it.
Them maybe 14's or 19's.
i could do 27's, but too much money for me to tie up. I doubt I will ever own a 27 while I have 28's. That is of course unless the deal is too good to pass up

I seriously thought your original picture was this old picture I took a couple years ago but only 2 are K-38, but the background looked close.

I love the Model 15. I only have one...a Model 15-3 with a 4-inch barrel. A real shooter, accurate as all get out and as smooth as butter. Doesn't get much better.
Here's my Model 10. A great gun, too, but for some reason, if I had to choose between the two, I'd lean more toward the Model 15.

I just sort of completed my hodge-podge M10/M&P accumulation.....
Haven't had time for pics yet, maybe next week -
2": M&P c.1950
3": M&P ship-date 1958 per Mr. Jinks (kinda unusual)
4": HE 4th change RB c.1930's
4": M&P 1954 tapered barrel
4": Victory c.1942
4": M10-10 HB RB Australian Police
5": M10 tapered bbl. c.1975
6": M&P c.~1941 (late pre-war)
Not much compared to real collectors here, but fun putting together over the years. They all get shot.

There a lot of people who would say you have three of the finest revolvers Smith & Wesson ever produced.
I'm afraid I would just have to shoot the 15's. The four-inch 15-3 I owned had an unbelievably silky trigger, and I would dearly love to own a snub 15.

A 1950 K-38 Masterpiece would be a 5-screw and would probably not have the heavy barrel?

I have never seen a 2" model 15 in the flesh for sale. All these years of S&W handguns and not one single example has crossed my path, or it would be in my safe right now.

IMHO the 4" Model 15 is S&W's best effort to date.
