Can someone please tell me about my 10-6 ?
Hello all,
I recently acquired this 10-6 and would like to know some more info, such as when it was made and if anyone has a clue about the grip medallion.

Remove the stocks and supply the serial number from the bottom of the grip frame for a reasonable guess; but mid 60’s to 82 right off the top of my head. No idea about the medallion. The gun appears to have an aftermarket finish.
S&W 10’s are fine handguns. Sadly, even with great care, it most likely will not last another 4-5 hundred years.

Someone has refinished the gun and did a pretty sloppy job of it. The target grips shouldn’t be original, but they are somewhat desireable being target grips. Someone added that emblem on the right side and subtracts from the value of those grips.

It's a very unique model 10.
I like it.
