Default Fort Worth PD Model 10-8 .38 S&W Special

I saw this one listed on a local board for what I thought was a reasonable price ($425). I'm always looking for law enforcement issued revolvers (not having much luck), but I think this one will be true. At least when I letter this one to see if it letters to FWPD I don't expect this one will show up as shipping to New Orleans like my BCPD Marked 65-2 did seeing as how it was purchased in Fort Worth.

Sorry for the poor photos, I have problems with S&W Carbona blue and cloudy days...oil smudges show up too much. This is a classic 4" Model 10-8 HB with red ramp front sight and matching numbered service stocks. I believe it's from 1979 at least based upon the S# charts in SCSW, S#5D27102.

Earl

Very nice, Earl. For some reason, I keep passing on 4" model 10 heavy barreled guns that I see, probably because I have my heart set on a 3" specimen. Seeing yours has me thinking I should reconsider passing on the next one I come across, especially if it looks as nice as yours.

I still need to get a 3" myself. I do have 2 other 4's but one is a pre model 10 Military & Police and the other a 10-5 both with the tapered barrels. This is my first Heavy Barrel 10. I like it. Earl
