Default M28-2

I Just bought a 28-2 High Way Patrolman. SN N94403. About 90% finish very light turn line. After market maple stocks. I wanted a shooter. The action has been tuned it's about as good as my old 29-2 done by Les Martin in Honolulu.

For a shooter 357 N frame, a 90% M28 is as good as it gets. Enjoy it and post a pic when you can.

Looks like Dec '72. 4 or 6 inch? Pics would be nice!

It's a 6". I wanted a shooter. The after market stocks are not very pretty but they fit my hand well. I need to step up to a smart phone for pictures. I'm still using a flipper.

It's hard to say if you got a great deal or if you got rooked unless we know what you paid for it.

Aftermarket stocks, 90%, six inch barrel ... my guess would be maybe $600 would be ok. Knock off $50 or so depending on exact condition.

I paid $ 549 plus tax. Any P&R Smith in this area is going for big money. They are hard to find. This same shop has a very nice M27 with a 8 3/8" barrel and a clean M58 4". I also saw a M60 and a M36. They also have a .22 Jet that has been in the show case for some time. I am happy with the one I got It is not going to be a safe queen.

Sorry no camera. The maple stocks are Ahrends with finger grooves. Not bad looking at all. I cleaned the gun very good today and installed a nice set of target grips.
