Default OWB leather holster for 2" k frame

I am having a hard time finding a OWB leather holster for a 2" K frame.

I don't want to buy a holster that also fits a 2.5" as the extra leather at the end of the barrel drives me nuts!

I love the hold Bianchi 8" stile holster.

Any recommendations?

There are some pretty good makers right here on the forum that can
probably make you exactly what you want.

I really like the Lobo Gun Leather Enhanced Pancake holster. The’ll have to nake it for you...but it will be perfect.

Let them know if you intend to use it with Model 19, 66, or any of the others with adjustable sights.

+1 for this exact holster. I have one for my 3" 65 and it is superb. They make each one, so if you order for a 2" gun there will be no extra leather below the muzzle. Be sure to spend the extra $8 for a hammer shield - even if you're skinny your side, and your shirts, will appreciate it (unless you will never put a gun with a hammer spur in it, in which case you can save the money.)

I have a 2" Model 64 with a factory bobbed hammer and faced the same dilemma that you are confronted with.

I found that there are only two possible solutions to getting a holster to fit your revolver exactly... (1) is to search the auction sites for a used holster that will fit a 2" S&W Model 10 or Model 64. (2)...or, order a custom holster built to fit your firearm exactly.

On a brighter note... if your revolver has a full hammer you should find that there are more holsters available than for those with a flush/bobbed hammer. Good luck in your search.

I think the Don Hume belt slide holster comes in a size just made to fit
a K frame 2" revolver. Good holster for the money.

I am glad you like it. Looks like you are taking
good care of it. The revolver is not too shabby
either.

Thank you! One of my favorites. I've posted on it before, but it's an accumulation of items bought from acquaintances here on the forum. The 64 came from Geronimo Jim, the combats from the Culinas, and the holster from CrazyPhil.

Here it is...came in last evening.

Bianchi #5 Black widow.

I really like how it rides and carries. It is cut for a 2" barrel so there is no excess leather at the end of the barrel. Not bad for $45 delivered and with amazon prime got it in 2 days.

A suggestion here. I just took delivery of a Simply Rugged Silver Dollar holster to fit my small frame M-640, and also a Cuda holster to fit a Shield 45. I am very pleased with each of these holsters. They provide as "slim" and smooth a profile outside my belt as any holster I have tried while at the same time giving good coverage of the guns and very comfortable wear. Take a look at the Simply Rugged website for full descriptions of the leather holsters they make. You will get a good description of the pertinent characteristics of these holsters and what to expect as far as delivery times, etc are concerned. There are many options available. I'm guessing you would be interested in their Sourdough holster that is made for both medium and large framed guns. There is a large picture gallery to give you a good look at each holster style. FWIW, I've been wearing holsters for many years, but what you read here is just my personal opinion based on that experience as well as my personal preferences.

When ordering, there is a window below the gun selection window where you can specify your exact model and barrel length and you can tell them here how much holster you wish to have extended beyond your gun barrel or not! If you wish your barrel to be even with the bottom of the holster, I believe that's what you will get. Both my holsters are plain leather which results in the lowest cost and the quickest delivery time. But if stamping or carving is your thing, you can get that as well. These holsters are simple but they simply work well. They cover every need that I have for a good leather holster, and they are indeed simply rugged, made from good quality leather and the construction is top notch. Those for short barreled guns also conceal very well under an appropriate garment that hangs down over them.

They may not be what you are interested in, but if something catches your eye, it will be worth what it costs and the waiting time (not bad at all, IMO!) to get it, and I believe it will give you a lifetime of service. I decided to try these two new holsters after purchasing a fairly well used one that fits my K Frames with 2.5" barrels. It's still got a lot of good use left in it's life!
