Model 43 Nickel Rare
The Model 43 Nickel is listed as rare. Just wondering if anyone had any idea how many were produced in nickel.

Very scarce but unknown how many were made. The rarest version is the 2" RB in nickel.
If one assumed only 5% are nickel, that's about 750 units.

I had a 4” nickel way back when. I didn’t know they were rare. I think I still have the gray box it came in. Somewhere.

Rare
I have one, paid dearly for it. If you can find one that letters, I expect you would be in the the $3-4K range. I don't know they count, but they are hard to find.

HI
The 43 in nickel is very rare I bought one about 15 years ago and was able to buy one a year ago. My best guess at how many made would be about 50 to 60 based on the number I have seen. If any one has a better number please post.

Would love to see a picture of one of these. Confused...are they two-tone? I thought 43s were alloy framed.

Thanks for all in the input on the Model 43. It is aluminum alloy with an alloy cylinder.

I recall seeing both a nickel 43 and nickel 51 on a dealer's shelf back in the early 70's. I can't tell you how many times over the years I regretted not buying both of them. Hindsight is always 20/20.

I have a nickel 43 here which I can post a few pics of, over this weekend. I’m pretty sure the SN puts it at around 1958 production.

Model 43 pix
Here are a few pics of my 43 nickel. The 8-like 3 in the model number is interesting. Click on the pics to enlarge. Target hammer and trigger. The previous owner painted the front ramp with what I assume is red fingernail polish, which so far I haven’t dared to try and remove. It might be paint of some sort. Stocks number to the gun, and yes it has the N’s In the right places.

Don’t know what I was thinking. I must have a bit of dyslexia. I had a Model 34.
