Default Range?

What is the price range these days for Mod. 19 with a 4" barrel, nickel? I might have the option on one, friend is bringing it over for a look. There aren't many details, pre-'73, no box, no original grips and was carried by an LEO. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Need more information and photos to give a price. Probably well worn if LEO, may be after factory nickel plating. Price could be anywhere from $300 to 700

Really need to see it and check it for wear. If it's has 98% or more of its finish remaining and was not shot much, yep, $500-$700. But, some LEO's actually enjoy shooting and it might have a lot of finish missing and/or shot to death. Some LEO's couldn't care less about their equipment and it might have lived in a leather holster that was soaked with rain and sweat and the revolver is a rust bucket. Condition is everything when it comes to these weapons.

Just remember, buy the gun, not the story. As others have said, could be a very wide price range. If the grips aren't original, they could still be worth more than the gun, or less than the story. If factory nickel, could raise the price. Poorly done after market nickel, drop the price. No way to put a sale price on this thing without pictures . . .
