Default original stocks 28-2

Back in 1978 I asked my brother if I could borrow and handgun to hunt rabbits and he lent me this .357.

I used it a couple of times and then he put some Pachmayr and said they'd work better for rabbit hunting.

I hung on to this gun for years until I moved out of state and he didn't want me to take it with me.

Four years ago he gave it to me and told me that I was the only person who had ever shot it so he just felt like it should be mine.

I had the best big brother ever.

Going thru a box of about 75 different pairs of grips I came across these in a zip log bag marked for this gun.

So this morning, 40 years later I put them back on.

Needless to say I am one happy camper.

Default original stocks 28-2

I still like the larger “target” stocks on the big frames.

They look great, better than mine do.

For shooting I do prefer the Pachmayr stocks.

I like the Magna grips you have on it. I have the same ones on my 28-2. I haven't shot this one yet maybe this weekend.

My 28-2 came with magna grips also. However, I found them too small for my particular grip. I recently changed over to a set of larger target grips, and they feel and hold much better for me.

My feelings also, not that it matters. All of my N frames wear target stocks of some kind. Bob

I prefer the looks of other stocks too.

I just like having the ones the gun came with 40 years ago.

I prefer VZ stocks on all shooters, especially defense guns. Absolutely do not slip in the hand.
