Default model 64 no dash question

I just got D584806 which dates to late 1973.
Does anyone have the sn range when the
tapered barrel 64's ended? Mine can't be too
far from the end of the run.

RWJ, Your's is almost 30k more than mine. So I guess mine was
from the summer of 73 or they were making them as fast as
they could get them out the door.

Until I got this one it never occurred to me Smith made the 64
and 64-1 concurrently. It makes sense because they made the
10-5 and 10-6 at the same time. The more I know, the more
questions I have.

Default 64-1

The only 64-1 HB I own is one of those in the D6732xx range (in .357 Magnum), which would tend to indicate the the frame/barrel profile change for the Square Butt Model 64 guns might be somewhere in between, if they didn't offer them concurrently.

Resting here comfortably are 2 model 64 tapered barrel, no dash, both unfired in boxes.......
Serial D60080x
Serial D61345x

I figure both built about 1974?

OF the numbers shared thus far, the D61345x above appears to be the latest.

Y'all have a great week!!
