Hello all. New today to the forum and I'm researching a couple revolvers I just received. These will be the first S&Ws in my gun safe and I'm looking for ship/production dates.
These are what I just received.

Welcome to the Forum
Approximate production dates are easy (lists are published), however a shipping date would need to come in a Historical letter as firearms were not shipped in serial number order
Your Model 13 would have been manufactured in 1982
Your Model 10 would have been manufactured in 1966

Welcome to the Forum.
Is your M13 a 3" or a 4"? Blue or nickel? Pictures are always appreciated.

The Model 13 has a 3" barrel with round butt grips.
The Model 10 has a 4" barrel with square butt grips.
Both are blued.
Having a little trouble with posting pics.
Thanks for the welcomes and info.

Suuuuuuure. Make us all jealous with your first post...... And then tempt us with no pics. Some people's kids.......
Just kidding. Congrats on "receiving" them. Were they gifts? I received a model 19 when my Step Dad passed away. And then I also bought his 442 from my Mom and I've been carrying it ever since. Well, I had a stint with a G26, but for the most part it's been my constant companion.
A way to post pics is use a website called Imgur: The magic of the Internet. Download your pics from your computer. Then right click on the pic once it is downloaded. Copy and paste that URL after clicking on the little picture symbol when you are typing out a response on here. You can see the little symbols at the top above the text box. If you know how to email, email them to me and I can do it for you if you are struggling. [email protected]

Yep, I'm on Imgur already and use it for other forums. It's just giving me a hard time here. I'll figure it out. Thanks.

Welcome aboard. Moving a good deed forward - Forget Imgur - just start an album under your S&W Forum profile and upload your pictures to it from your computer. Then, to post a photo into a thread like this, just copy the BB Code URL, paste it into the thread/reply, and you get something like this:
If you copy and paste the "Picture URL" you get this:
http://smith-wessonforum.com/members...49-38-44-a.jpg
You don't want that; it is just a redirect TO your photo. You want the photo to appear so use the BB Code to copy and paste.

Welcome to the Forum from Ohio! As you have already read, the 3" 13 is a bonus for you! I had a 3" 65, and traded it off. Am OK with my 10-5, 2" & 66-2, 2.5". Enjoy your guns! Bob
