This beautiful 25-3 has overwhelming sentimental value to me and I will cherish it forever.

It never has been and never will be fired.

pretty sweet

I'm not one to collect safe queens but I understand not firing one like the OPs.

So you’re going to leave us hanging on the reason for its sentimental value? Shame on you!

I bet I can guess pretty close. I wouldn't shoot it either.

Sorry, I had to run out the door early this morning.

This belonged to my brother Buff. He showed it to me the day he bought it. Its the one gun in his collection that I have always remembered. This is the gun that I will always remember him by.

I remember how excited he was and how happy he was that he got one. I remember his excitement.

He bought two of them. He paid $350 each. He shot one and later sold it for $700 so he always figured he got this one for free.

He never shot it in the last 40 years so I'm not going to either.

I have plenty other guns to shoot.

It won't have any less sentimental value if you shoot it and enjoy it.

Thank Joe.

I see no reason to shoot it, none at all. I have plenty of other guns to shoot.

It doesn't have a spend cartridge with it so it might not have ever been fired even once.

My 27-7 has never been shot either, except the one time at the factory and I see no reason to ever shoot it either.

I just brought home a mod-27 and I will shoot it instead.

I'm not going to try to talk you into shooting it. The vast majority of mine I've never fired, so I understand the sentiment. Not that mine have NEVER been fired...just that I haven't fired them.

A co-worker of mine had one of those 125th Smith & Wesson's. I suppose he still does, but I haven't seen him since before I retired. I remember he used to say he'd never turned the cylinder on it. It seems to me that I saw it once when we were at his house for dinner, a LONG time ago. Beautiful gun of course.

There is nothing wrong with keeping it preserved in your safe.Your just continueing your brothers plan for it.However later on as you grow old and if there is no one to pass it onto who will keep it in such condition, then fire off a couple of boxes in your brothers name.

The day my brother bought this one was the only time I ever saw it until just recently. I remember that day like it was yesterday.
