Right off the top of my head, I would say around the mid 70's.
BTW, we like pics of classic S&W revolvers too.

Mine's N529xxx and was told 1978.
Yours, like mentioned before 1975-77.

I can't help myself . . .
You want to "age" it? Tie a string through the trigger guard and drag it for a couple blocks behind your pickup. That will put some age on it in a hurry!
Now - back to sanity:
Your Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman is a fine revolver. Whether it has the 4" or 6" barrel, you will find it to be a wonderful gun to shoot. Enjoy!
