Default Date from model and dash??

Can I get an approximate date or time frame for a model 29-3, I can’t get the sn# just yet. It’s a 6” bbl partial lug, square butt, pin in hammer, traditional S&W roll markings. It also has case colored combat trigger and hammer, sight is a S&W red ramp. Sorry I can’t provide any pictures.
Appreciate any clues, thanks

Catalog says 29-3 1983, 29-4 1988. In that range.

What would most likely be the above mentioned guns’ factory issued grips? And would having the combat hammer and trigger determine the type of stocks?

Not familiar with "combat" hammer and trigger. Mostly 29s were shipped with 3Ts or "full Target" option meaning hammer, trigger and stocks. Correct stocks for a 29-3 would Targets with the large loading relief on left side.
