Yep, I get it. I just recently bought my last gun. It's simply the last gun I bought. There will be more. Those are my >next< guns.

Best reply.
You should win something but now that I bought my last gun I don't have any money to get you a prize.

Yes I did and I meant it too.
Then this one popped up. I told them I'd take it. I'm going to go look at it tonight. If its not as nice as I'm hoping then what I said yesterday will still be valid.

The downside to this one, if I do keep it - is that I have to buy more ammo because it will be my only .44 mag.
Just like guns, I thought I had enough.

I think you misspelled the word - it is spelled L-A-T-E-S-T, not L-A-S-T...

I just finished moving my reloading bench and stopped by the LGS today to pick up some Bullseye. Noticed they had a black Ruger Wrangler at internet pricing so asked to see it. Then I noticed a really nice Model 18 just below it. Big mistake but I have been lusting after an 18 to complement my K22s. Nice gun, 18-2 from 1963, well used but well taken care of, about 90% condition, no box. Haggled it down to market pricing with purchase of the Ruger. So I guess I just bought my last 2 guns.

Perfect excuse to buy more 44 mag revolvers! If you already have 44 mag ammo lying around, you need to have more than one 44 mag revolver.

Is there ever a last gun purchase? Maybe when the last shovel of dirt is thrown on top of us? I’m on hold self controlled but I still look.

Turned out to be better than I was expecting.
6.5" 29-2, P&R, 3-Ts, red ramp front site and w/o rear sight and a "S" serial number.
Its dirty and needs a good cleaning.

Those appear to be cokes. They numbered to the gun? Nice buy!

That’s a beautiful gun. Market pricing on a nice set of Cokes is $400-$600 dollars.
The only target stocks that were stamped (never say never...) were the non-relieved walnut targets that were originally stamped to match 1955 frames that were re-purposed into .44 Magnums. The .44’s then got Cokes and Smith then re-used those grips on different frames so the stamped numbers usually don’t match the gun they are installed on.
I have two sets of non-relieved walnut targets that are both serial number stamped, both on .357 mag revolvers, and both not matching.
Never seen a set of Cokes (or relieved targets for that matter) that were serial number stamped.

Thanks Pete, no they're not numbered but that's nice that they are cokes. I would have never known had someone not told me. I think they're the ones I have.

So yep. This one is my last gun.

Then I get first option to get the next one you buy.
'62-'63..
and that cleaning rod looks a bit short for that barrel. Screwdriver should be where the bore brush is.

Maybe its just for cleaning the cylinder.

I have had good luck finding some nice guns. I can't stop looking for that next one.
As long as we can still enjoy them, this will never end.
