Model 25 with wrong Barrel Rollmark

I am trying to put together some info on the Model 25's that had the wrong roll mark that said '45 Cal Model of 1950". If you have one of these, could you please PM me. If and when I get some results, I will gladly post it here.

I vaguely recall 1,000 were made with the incorrect barrel marking. Don't know anything beyond that.

I remember seeing a batch of them advertised by J&G Rifle Ranch in the old Shotgun News many years ago. They didn’t command a huge premium then, in fact they may have been discounted. Seeing those old prices will bring tears to your eyes!
