Good morning, all. I just read a report on BBC about a burglary in which several pistols were taken. Among them was a big, beautiful Nickel Mod. 29 used in "Live and Let Die", described as the "only gun in the world entirely finished in chrome." Got a chuckle out of that.
Just watched Live and Let Die last night. Several Smiths in the movie, including the 2.5” 19 with the “safety catch.” Can’t miss the chrome 29 at the end.
If I recall correctly, a gun such as this in jolly olde England would have to be permanently deactivated, so the thief probably got a big metal club for his efforts.
And the movie showed British secret agents don't have to carry spare ammunition, just like the cowboys in old Westerns with their twelve-shooters.
