I have a S&W Centennial M40-1. It gobbles up the short barrel +P 135s like they were good. I’ve never shot anyone with it but I’ve had it for years and it hasn’t broken. I don’t plan to use the Underwoods I use in my .38-44 HD though.

Regards, Porkie

Mainstream +P 38s are not loaded to high pressure. Typically a 125 @ 925 from a 4" barrel. Sound like a hot load? Fairly weak in my opinion. I have an old ad saying 38/44 ammo could be used in a Chiefs Special.

My "no dash" Model 60 is stoked with Federal +P HST's.
