Default Price Check S&W N frame 520 NYSP .357

So if you found one, what would be a decent price?

Thanks.

Condition is important but $600 and up would be my estimate

From what I've read in other threads here in this forum $1000-1200+ for a really nice one.

I wouldn't even consider selling mine for $1200.

In the last couple of months, I've seen two sell in the $1050-1250 range. Hope this helps.

So without a box but in very good shape, factory stocks, $600-$700?

I think that would be a fair price for the buyer and the seller. The PC N-frame stocks, however, are fairly scarce in and of themselves. Only that and the Model 58 came with them as standard.

Also, the 520 was the only fixed sighted N-frame 357 from the classic era of wheelgun greatness.

I would buy every 520 I could find at $600. I bought mine about 8-10 years ago for $500 and thought it was cheap then. I think only 3000 produced and most are found new in the box.

I paid $500.00 for one ANIB about 20 years ago. I would not sell it for $1200.00 today. I probably wouldn't sell it for any price.

I would be very tempted so I would have a shooter.

My other fixed sight N-frame in my M58 .41 Magnum and I love shooting it.

I have to agree. If I came across a nice condition one for $600, I'd snap it up fast. But my new-unfired-in-original-box one? Not for sale at any price.

Mines been fired 102 times.

The first round was a practice round by the original owner.
The second round was used to take his own life.

When my brother first got it he put two boxes of ammo thru it and put it away.

I've never fired it myself.

If I found one for $1200, especially in excellent shape with original box and manual, I would not feel that I over paid at all.
That model and the 581, the blued L frame .357 with fixed sights are not commonly seen.

Default Mine

Back in 2014, I had been looking for a 520 for a while.
Learned about a fellow, local, who had one.
Met him at a gas station.
It had no box or anything, but it was GORGEOUS.
So... it wasn't really a "shooter", it was sorta "like new" but minus the box.
We settled on $1,150..

I'm sure most would say that I overpaid.
And I think... maybe... sure, yeah, probably.

But I was standing there, with it in my hands, couldn't walk away.

And I'll tell you, I wouldn't walk that purchase back if I could.

Every time I pick that gun up, I just get goose bumps.

What's the price of goose bumps? :-)

I want one also -don’t need box or papers
Gorgeous N frame - undeniably the best .357 fixed sight revolver ever.
