Default How it all started

in 1967 my older brother bought a new 6 1/2 inch Model 29,which he still has. I loved guns. I had to have one too. But of course, they were practically unobtainable. In 1974 I bought a Model 19,followed by a Model 57. I didnt even see a Model 29 till 1982,an 8 3/8.4 screw with cokes, for $310. I bought it. I was happy.I was hooked. My collection of Model 29s grew. But,as fate would have it,my wife needed money. She was broke, and I was sympathetic. I sold my 29 collection.I thought I would never own another. This was in 2005. Not one to let bygones be bygones, I got bitten again. I had to have more 29s. My collection grew, and my bank account shrank. I think I have one of the biggest collections of 29s in my state. I`m trying to stop. I`m addicted, you see. I have 2 or 3 that I shoot. Many are unfired since factory, including a 1956 black box gun. I need to stay off the gun auction sites. I need to geld myself,so to speak... Good day to all,and thanks for reading. God bless

Thanks for the story Neversink.

I only own one M-29, a 6 1/2" M-29-2 shipped Jan 14, 1964.
I haven't even shot it yet. But I will.

A birth year gun for me... LMK if you would consider passing it to me for an appropriate sum!
