Default My Model 10 Family

Not quite the right forum but this wouldn't fit anywhere so I picked the middle ground. I have had an objective of collection one example of the Model 10 from no dash through the 10-10. Recently I accomplished that goal and now have all of the revolvers in hand for a family photo.

They are set up sort of like a clock face.
12 oclock - Model 10-5 Nickle (4" bbl)
11 oclock - Model 10-5 Blue (5" bbl)
10 oclock - Model 10-4 (6" bbl)
9 o'clock - Model 10-3 (4" heavy bbl)
8 o'clock - Model 10-2 (4" bbl)
7 o'clock - Model 10-1 (4" heavy bbl)
6 o'clock - Model 10 (2" bbl)
5 o'clock - Model 10-6 (4" heavy bbl)
4 o'clock - Model 10-7
3 o'clock - Model 10-8 (4" heavy bbl)
2 o'clock - Model 10-9
1 o'clock - Model 10-10 (4" heavy bbl)

Default Model 10's

Now you have to start collecting the round butt 10's.

Fabulous, Mike. Congratulations.

I have a similar goal with Chiefs Specials -- from before model numbers through the Model 36-9, the last Chiefs without the IL -- so I sincerely appreciate your goal and its achievement.

I'll ask: how long did it take you to reach your goal?

It took me six years. I still can't believe I stumbled across the 10-4. It was only out for one year.

I've got a pretty good collection of shooters; every decade of .38 M&Ps from the 1910's to the Victory's. Then postwar S prefixes, pre-10's and Model 10's. I love K frames.

Collecting on a theme is a great way to do it. It is especially rewarding when the theme is complete.
Well done!

I think I'm up to thirteen. 1903 to 1988. Two, three, four and five inch. No six inch yet. Blue, nickel, round butt, square butt, heavy barrel, pencil barrel, 38 Special and one 38 S&W. Two police marked; Detroit and Hong Kong. Been accumulating them for thirty years.

Wow, a Hawkeye in Ames. Brave person. Like I said I do love K frames.

I have a .38M&P from every decade; 1910's - 1940's, BSR's and Victory's, postwar S prefix's, pre-Model 10's and of course, my Model 10 family. With all of that I have a .38M&P derivative from every decade from the 1910's through the 2010's. I guess now I have to get one from the 2020's.
