I just acquired a model 14-2 that is a SAO. I don't know if factory but I suspect it is. Condition is great and maybe unfired.
My question is with the modified geometry of the sao what is the poundage of the recoil?
I know the sao conversion came with a rebound spring in the kit. How did it differ from the standard DA SPRING?
I would like to lighten my trigger pull by about 1/2 lb.
The part number for the SAO spring is 5387. When I went through the armorers school I was advised to use that spring to lessen trigger pull.
If you gun is a factory SAO then I would guess that spring is already in the gun.
Be careful putting in to light a trigger return spring as iy has to balance with the main spring to get reliable trigger reset.
Thanks, the da uses an 18 lb.spring so the sao is probably less than that since the p/n 5387 is used to lower da pistols. I am at 3 1/2 lbs and would like it around 3.
