As in, Grashorn stags. Many here are familiar with the product.

Many thanks to Old Bear for his help in acquiring the nickeled M19-2 (c.1965) and the grips.

Just need to get a polished aluminum Tyer T-grip adapter and some appropriate leather gear and my 'BBQ gun project' will be complete.

Lynn, Good Looking set-up. I am Pleased that it went to someone who really Appreciates it for what it is. Looking forward to seeing it in it's new holster. Now all you need is an alligator belt, to finish off the BBQ rig.

Thatís a Beauty, the knife is a nice touch! Congratulations!

Picked up a set of Grasshorn Stags from not long ago from a forum member, as luck would have it, they were a perfect addition to my Birth Year M&P.

If stag grips are cool, you can call me Miles Davis. Seriously, lets keep hyping stag grips On this site. I've got a few sets of round butt grips ready to ship when the money is right.

Mr. Gashorn does a very nice job, as do others on this forum but, his grips are on two (2) of mine. A Mod. 66-2 and a Mod. 624.

Here is another set of Grashorn's good Elk stocks. This is an early Model 58, and it is an oddity due to the nickel finish.

I bought these stocks for my dad's birthday, but couldn't resist snapping a pic on the 58

I think a Lawrence 34B FBI style extra quick draw holster would
go quite well with your gun & knife. Here is a picture of mine
on the left.

On the right is my Grasshorns on my 2" Model 10. The
matching (?) knife is a Puma Prince.

I've never been diagnosed as having OCD, but for me, ANY great looking grips on my S&W's MUST have the S&W grip escutcheons/medallions to be acceptable. So glad that Mr. Grashorn provides that.
Most of mine have original or period-correct Magnas or Targets.

Maybe it's 'mental rebound' from outfitting so many handguns over so many years with ugly Pachs and such, don't know. Absolute deal breaker for me these days.

Having said that, on autos I don't care so much. Most of my M1911's wear VZ grips, as does a BHP clone, obviously with no medallion(s).

...The dumb things you sometimes ponder on.......

In truth, I'm not a great fan of stags. However, I do have one set, which was factory equipment on this vintage 1957 Ruger .44 Mag flat top Blackhawk. These are considered quite rare and valuable today.

I have some from Ken that are favorites. They moved from an old shooter 28-2 to a 58 and then back to the 28-2 because I shoot it more. Guess I need some more.

Thanks LPD - now you've got me considering some N frame Grashorns.... and I could look at it as an economical move - as I could switch the one set from my M27, to M28, to a HD, to M58, etc, etc.
Genius!

Iím not that smart. I had some factory combats that are now on the 58 that work great. And I love the stags on the 28-2. I move grips around until I get them where they feel just right. Then they pretty much stay. All of the guns I do this with came with something other than correct factory grips. Each gun has a little different personality. I love Kenís work and I have Culina combats on several round butt Kís. Get some of those stags, put them on your 28. Youíll love them.
