Default 10-5 Diamond magna grips?

Hi I'm new here, I recently acquired a M10-5 blue 6" locally beautiful condition, fired little with some ***** target grips. I am curious what year of manufacture and what stocks it may have shipped with. I would like to put a correct set of magnas on it. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Welcome to the FORUM! Pictures would tell us a lot. Diamond magnas were phased out on guns after 1968. (S&W used them until they ran out)
Quite a few 10-5, 6" guns had target stocks on them. 4" or less had Magnas on them. At the time you had stock options. There are plenty of aftermarket options if you don't like the targets. Bob

Yours may well have shipped with the diamond centers. The began going away in 1967-68. My C928xxx shipped 7/67. I have a non matching set of non-diamond PC magnas on it.

Directives to eliminate the diamond around the escutcheon and nut on Magna stocks were issued in October 1965 and in January 1966. Stocks without the diamond began to appear a little later in 1966.
