Default Model 19-5 .357 Magnum

My latest Smith and Wesson handgun has stag grips. Serial number is ANF 56XX. The model shown on the yoke is 19-5. Can anyone tell me something about it? I will post a picture.

What I can mostly tell you about it is that I'd like to have it. Maybe not quite as desirable as the earlier P&R 19s but more in demand than any with the IL. The stags look great on it too. Those 2.5 inch barrel 19s are really hard to beat. Enjoy it.

Jeff, thanks for the positive comment! I have wanted one of these since I was a kid, and looked a long time. I do enjoy it, to have it and to shoot it, and I notice that at the range it gets attention from old guys like me, lol!!!!

I can't tell you much about it except a 2 1/2" M19 is one of S&W's best IMO. Guessing your M19 is dated around 1983-84 ish. Those Stags really set it off.
Thanks for sharing.
Congrats & Enjoy!
