Just wondering what a fair value for this gun is? It' in excellent condition and hasen't been fired a lot with the bluing all in place) A friend would like to take it but feel something special for this 38 since it's as old as I am))

Need more info. What barrel length, does it have the original grips? Target hammer & trigger or stock?

This is from 1965, a 15-2 with box and all papers that I wouldn’t take $750, buts it’s an exceptional piece.

I wouldn't take $750.00 for that either; gorgeous revolver.

Id be a buyer up to $650. I pay more for Target trigger and hammer, which this one does not have...But looks to be a very nice example of a 15-3

Stocks don't appear correct for a M15. They look to have a rolled bottom rather than squared off.

For value I would say $600 to $650 around here...more (much more) if sitting at Cabela's, but fair for a face-to-face local sale.

As to the stocks my Model 15-3 is wearing rounded bottom (PC = Plain Clothes) stocks and mine serial numbers to 1969. The Op's photo's are much better than mine so my photos look like square butt, but they are truly PC with rounded bottoms.

I have 2, a 15-2 and -4. Both were purchased separately in the past 12 months for $600 each; I wouldn’t sell either for less than $800 with original grips, 2” 15s are just too hard to track down.

The John Hurst grips on the -4 were a recent addition, as with the black nitriding of the -2. I will add a brushed bronze Tyler T to the -2 if it it ever arrives. A good friend ordered it for my bday last October and it still hasn’t arrived.
