Default A Pair of 28-2's

All day, at work, I was day dreaming, about taking these HP's, to the range. Once I got home, I succumbed to the temptation of an ice cold beer, well-deserved, after toiling away in the summer heat. As good as that beer (and the one after it) tasted, my shooting plans were tossed, leaving me with a little time to wax these beauties.
The 28-2 with the magna and Tyler-T came to from a member here, wearing Goodyears. The other one, a surprise find at the LGS, had some "pallet wood" football targets that I swapped out for these presentation stocks, which came to me attached to a pawnshop 66ND. Given the current grip-madness, they might be worth close to what I paid for the entire 66.

I got a nice pair also and thanks to SASABERANGER who sold me the gorgeous set of grips they now both have correct target stocks. PR is a 1979 and -3 is a 1982. Something I like about the model 28 in 6''.

OP, a beautiful set of 4" M28's. Without a doubt my favorite Smith.Beautiful presentation grips

I have been known to hoard a few of these. The ones pictured are all S serial numbers( 1961 to 1968)and one 6" has never been fired.

I’m a little confused on how you found N-frame stocks on a Model 66 no-dash unless they looked wrong on it from the get-go.

Gorgeous wood color and grain!

Thank you!
About 2 years ago, I found a 66ND, with incorrect grips at a pawn shop. $400 OTD. Seeing the current prices for nice stocks, as well as the going prices for 66’s, I think I did pretty well

Default Triplets!

HP's are addictive, like most N-Frames, especially a few years back when they seemed under valued. Great buys for folks who love N-Frames and diamond target stocks.
