S&W 10-5
I recently bought this 10-5 from a local guy. The serial # is C716325. I’m not sure of the year of manufacture but I’d guess mid 60’s. Excellent trigger, Grip serial matches and It has just enough wear to give it a working gun look. The Tyler’s were on it and the price was right,$350.

Heckuva deal, especially with the diamond magnas and a T-grip to boot. Looks like the T-grip may be from the same time period as the gun.

Very nice example. I would say about 1964. The " D " numbers started in 1968. The 2" and 4 " below are D series from 1968. The 2 " is D138, probably the first day.

You did better then good!
I carried a 10-5 in 1969 as a condition of employment. I have a love affair with the model. It may not have put S&W on the map but it sure kept them there for years.

I on the other hand think you got totally ripped off. And I feel very sad for you.
So sad in fact that if you'll PM me, I'll send you today a USPS Money Order for $400 to cover your embarrassing loss and the price of shipping it to my local FFL.
You don't have to thank me, and we won't have to speak of it again.
(congrats on a heck of a deal)

This is better than a great deal. Congratulations! That is by far one of my favorite revolvers and the way it is set up is perfect. I have irritated a lot of Model 19 fans when I have stated that I'll take a Model 10 with an adapter over any model 19 any day of the week. Well done!!!

You ended up with a nice Model 10 at a good price! My 10-5 was shipped 1974. It was online sale for $329. (you got a better deal than me) Mine came with terrible stocks and needed TLC. It sure is fun to shoot! It has had several stock sets on it. Bob

Great price for a marvelous revolver. I only have two model 10s.
Thanks to a permanent job loss due to Covid-19, there are no gun purchases in the foreseeable future for me. Maybe an occasional purchase of magazines or holsters, etc.
