Default Added a couple of K frames to my revolver collection

Bought these last night. The 19-3 Texas Ranger Commemorative did not come with the box or Bowie Knife. At the price paid I did not care because I did not buy it as a collectible I bought it to shoot. The 17-4 should provide hours of fun when my grandsons become old enough to learn how to shoot

Nice looking revolvers. The K22 is perfect for teaching kids. Itís heavy enough that they can hold it still, has good sights, a great trigger, and is fun to shoot. Perfect combination!

Both great guns! The TR is one of the more thoughtfully designed .357s and although it is a commemorative, it was made to shoot. Enjoy both of those beauties.

Thanks for sharing,

They are both really nice.
I only have one K-frame, a 66-1.

Can anybody help with a date of manufacture on the 17-4? The serial number starts with 93K.

I also noticed the trigger guard on the 19-3 TR has been trimmed down on the right side from just behind the trigger towards the muzzle end of the gun. It concerned me a bit until I checked a few images of this gun on the internet and all of them had the same feature. My guess is that this modification in theory decreases time to the trigger for a right handed shooter. I also remember my tour of the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco Texas that trigger guard modifications were common place. I'm guessing S&W incorporated this feature on this revolver

Great K Frames. My son has just tried his hand at my Model 17. I had bought him a Model 34 previously however he now likes the Model 17 better. Hereís his first shots.
