My Dirty Harrys
Sorry for spamming but I'm too happy and have to share.
At last I got them in all correct barrel lengths.
- 4" if you go by the script
- 6,5" and 8 3/8" in the movie
I know, the 6,5" is not a real classic, way too tough to find them over here.

Beautiful. I own a S&W Model 19-3 .357 6 inch blued. It's like new. I'd like to buy a Model 29-2. Which do you like better, the 4 inch or 6 inch?

Hello!
Very nice set!
Do you shoot them? If so, do they generate a lot of interest at your club?
You have some very nice reloading supplies available over there that add a lot of nice performance to the 44 Magnum, i.e: H&N bullets, VV powder, etc.
Thanks for sharing!
Jim
PS: your 4" can do double duty as a Lee Marvin "Point Blank" piece. Maybe you can find a nickel 6" for Chuck Norris in "Lone Wolf McQuade"?

That's a great collection you have there.
I enjoy shooting my friends 4" M29-2.
My brother lent me one of his many years ago to hunt rabbits.
I only have one .44 Magnum.
This is my 6.5" Model 29-2 shipped January 14th, 1964.

Very nice revolvers! But I don't believe the 6-1/2" bbl. is a .44 Magnum (or Model 29). It has a tapered barrel which might not take the pressures of a .44 Magnum load- could it be a .38/44 or .44 Spl.? FYI- S&W also made Model 29s with a 6" bbl. Enjoy your collection!

I don't know if a nickel finish qualifies as a "Dirty Harry" m-29 but here are my two ..... one plain and one engraved.

I am fairly certain the 6 1/2 barrel 29 is a Heritage series. I have one just like it. It does not have the rib like a regular 29 but it is Performance Center tuned and a great shooter. Plus I love the McGivern gold bead front sight. And the stocks are beautiful.
O.P., very nice collection!

I've other 29 which I shoot, those are quite rare and in an almost new condition, ergo safe queens.
S&W 29 are very popular over here in Europe and some models are way over EUR 1000.
Thank god I've no time to reload, way too scientific for me, much easier for me to just head to my local dealer and grab some ammo.

Its a 29-9 Performance Center Heritage Series, 1 of 500 made.

Movie script mentions a 4" nickel 29. So yes, it qualifies.

By far the 4" version, the proportions are awesome and the balance is perfect when shooting.

Wien, Wien, nur du allein...! As an EMT, more than ever nowadays, sincere 'Thank you for your service!!!'
I particularly like you limited edition 29 sans rib! Distinctive! Beyond Smith model offerings of the eighties era, I really know nothing. Missing some fine guns, I'm sure. Yours exemplary!
My only two, one an "S" prefix 29, no suffix; 4" in case. Such and a 29-2 of late seventies in 8 3/8. I'm basically hooked on the earlier postwar "Transition" models, especially .44 Spl. and their kin. Yet always to appreciate the nice Smiths that show up so often here!
Take care of yourself and those fine guns! In distancing or 'otherwise', don't believe "Kurz" is the word!
Best,
John
