19-3 DAO just back from the mother ship.
I sent this beauty back to Smith & Wesson Performance Center Back in January. I sent it along with a new bobbed hammer and combat trigger to have an action job and re-blued.
It took 6 months to get it back, but it is great with a 5.5lb. DA trigger pull.
Of course I had to put a set of Culina French Walnut smooth combat stocks.

I think you mean DAO instead of DOA. Looks great!

Just me but DAO seems more appropriate on a fixed sight revolver.

Gorgeous. Purposeful. Proportionate.
I’d gladly carry that one; thanks for sharing.

I'd say worth the wait! Looks like the finisher who prepped the bluing did well - I don't see any of the often seen rounded edges or obscured lettering.
Gonna shoot it? Carry it?
I wish I could get my 19-3 back from my BIL.

5.5lbs DA pull? That seems awful light, especially for a carry gun, no?

I just took it to the range and fired 10 rds, 5 loaded at once and got 1 misfire from each cylinder with Double Tap 38 +P.
Next will try Federal

You might have better luck with the Fed primers. They do tend to be softer. The 5.5 lb trigger - was that a specific request, or..... Nice gun, all around. Enjoy. Mike

First do this.... with an unloaded (empty) gun cock the action, put a pencil (with an eraser on the end of the pencil) down the barrel while the gun is pointed to the ceiling, and 'fire it'. If the pencil does not fly to the ceiling then the mainspring is to light.
Then again 'fire' the still unloaded gun DA and slowly release the trigger while pointed upwards. If the trigger does not snap back all the way forward then the trigger return spring is to light.
Check those first to see if whomever did the work just swapped springs... and didn't test it.

The 5.5lb is just the way the Performance Center did it.
Federal Ammo or primers are recommended. I had a new Model 66 factory and it would misfire with some ammo. There is no problem with rebound spring. If it misfires with Federal, I will change main spring.

Great looking gun. Love the Culinas. I know you’ll get it sorted out. And then enjoy it.
