Default I got to hold my 'new' model 10-5

It looked very nice. I checked it out, and the bore, all good. Looked like I made a good buy. Fellow took it back to do the transfer. Waited....and waited. First time I've ever had a 'delay' and I was told that if I don't hear back I can pick up the gun in three days.

Are there some new questions on it, even about misdemeanor domestic violence. Maybe I just don't remember them, but some had 'today's' verbage like being adjudicated mentally incompetent or some such.

Anyway, whoever says we don't undergo background checks is full of it.

It's because of the beer virus, and the unprecedented number of guns sales in recent months. It's not you. I've been delayed several times this year, and never had before.

Been a few years since I bought a gun through a licensed dealer.

Some of them are relatively new, but they have been there for a few years.

...but I haven't bought as many guns in that time so. I think the last gun I bought was a Henry lever a few years ago. Maybe this time the questions just 'bugged' me more because of all the talk about 'we need background checks!"

Actually, the liberals can NOT prove that this trillion dollar FFL mess has prevented ONE crime.

If you had your SC CWP, you'd be sitting at home cleaning and waxing your new S&W in preparation for posting a picture for our viewing pleasure.

Delays are common due to the huge increase in calls. Most dealers will release the gun in thrree business days.

It would be worthwhile to have a CWP just to feel that the government didn't assume I was a criminal right off the bat.

That's the beauty of CDW (Kentucky calls it a "Concealed Deadly Weapon Permit") here in KY. Fill out the form, pay the money and out the door you go. We recently became a "carry as you wish" state, with no permit needed. I renewed mine anyway just for that purpose.
