Almost, But Not Quite Mod 34
I just picked up this model 34-1 which looks to be in very good shape. Pinned barrel. All things look good, except for what you see in the last picture. Probably a factory oversight, but who knows?

For a replacement grip the chances of the numbers being off one digit are out of this world.

I'd say the employee who stamped the grips just grabbed the wrong number by accident. Just too close for a replacement. The gun looks to be in too good a shape for the grips to have needed replacement anyway. The other possibility is if he didn't mis-stamp the grips, the factory assembler just put the next gun's grips on the wrong one in error. Could have been done at 4:59pm on a Friday!
I'd bet it's not the first time this has happened!
