Default 29-2 4in nickel

have a chance to buy 29-2 4in nickel in excellent condition, with original grips and box with paperwork. What would be a reasonable price that?

That's a nice revolver. They are getting harder to find in top shape. That would probably go for 1400 on funbroker.

Depends on how bad you want it? If you can buy it for under $1500 and don't, then someone else will.

Doesn't look like it's been fired much, let's see the cylinder face and the muzzle. Sometimes the nickel will start peeling around the end of the barrel bore at the muzzle.

Beautiful gun, I'd easily give $1200-$1300 for it. I bought a nickel M29-2 commemorative a few weeks ago, 6" barrel and unfired, for $1250.

Yeah, I'd say if you get for anything less than $1500 you will have done well, especially these days.

The cylinder face is a little dirty but I can clean that up the muzzle is bright and shiny. The guy I bought it from a relative of his died and the guy said he will never use it so I took it off his hands. Sorry for all the posts I haven't bought an older Smith and Wesson in a while

You said that you have a chance to buy it. LGS, estate, friend??. Guns are going crazy now. The other on the auction site a NIB 19-4 went for 1700.00, and the grips I believe were changed. Question is will they stay inflated? I would try to buy it from an estate for 1000, a friend 1250-1300 tops. Just my .02

Post 11 says you bought it. Price was right for you. That is always what determines the worth of a gun. What someone would be willing to pay. Congrats.

Thank you Sir. Not too familiar with model 29s. Had a few 27-2s and other models. Had a 629 with a 2 1/2 in i believe it was. That this was a cannon

Paid $825 with a box of rounds for it. Has a bit of sentimental value is the main reason I bought it. My dad left me one similar to that years ago and during a divorce my ex wife sold it probably for nothing .different gun yes but same make and model.

Thanks for posting the price paid.
Many talk about the great deal they made and then decline to post what they paid, which is the heart of the deal.
You did very well, indeed. Great gun at a great price!

I couldn't sell it to you knowing the mop was dirty. It would be unethical for me to do that. What a shame. I should just use the box for kindling

My first reaction was the gun was in the $1600 dollar range, nickel, 4 inch - presentation box, tools etc.

$825 is the I don't know what I have price. Nice snag.

Very nice looking piece. You will have a lot of fun with that. 44Specials will be more fun that full hose mag loads though. It's a lot of horsepower in a smallish package.
