A Good Montana Weekend
Attended a gun show in Kalispell Montana this weekend. Over 400 tables held at a livestock arena, good ventilation, dirt floor.
Fires in Oregon and Washington made visibility about 500 ft. Guns were plentiful but expensive.
Purchased the following.
First, a model 67, LNIB $675
Second, a model 18-3, LNIB $800
Third, a model 27-2, 8 3/8" nickel, mint in presentation case. $1000
Fourth a model 649-5, LNIB $430
The model 18 is my favorite.

Those look great. I'd say the prices were good too at least compared to the show I went to this weekend. Some of the prices I saw: 3.5 inch nickel 27-2 $2700 no box; 34-1 4 inch showing wear $900; 4 inch P&R 629 no dash $1488; newer M41 showing use $1395; and best of all a 340M&P with box and a few speed loaders for $1299. Don't know if any of those sold.
As for show interest though, there must have been 500 people lined up around three sides of the building at 8:45 for a show that opened at 9:00. When I left at 10:30 having bought nothing, there were at least 100 people lined up waiting to get in.
Most everyone was wearing a mask but "social distancing" amounted to shoulder to shoulder pushing you way through the aisles. May skip the next one or two. . . .

Congrats on bringing home a great collection, sounds like the pace was packed! Haven't seen many of those around here.

I too attended this show, and found it immensely pleasurable. Very nice crowd of folks.
I only came away with 2 S&Ws, but I feel like my gun haul was pretty solid.
$500 Model 1006 with 4 magazines (been after one for a decade, so that's pretty pleasing).
'57 and '58 Ruger single sixes for $300 and $275 respectively
An M&P from right around 1911 for $300.
And my 2 year old munchkin got to meet a 5 month old mini horse that someone walked right into the show on a lead:
Edit; well I can't get the mp4 embedded it seems, so if you want to see my little girl and a mini horse at a gunshow here's the link: https://i.imgur.com/sGBfq6j.mp4

Gret looking M&P and good deal on the SS's. They would have been $75 to $100 more at the Whitehall show.

To be fair I do haggle on guns pretty well, and I was there the whole show (since I had a table), and was able to work on prices over the course of the show.
That said, there were some pretty good deals on other smiths. If I had more cash I could have had a really nice pre-27 6" for $600 with original grips. Among other guns.
Regarding that M&P I'll make a post about it in the appropriate forum. It's a very nice one, but it's also been back to the service department for (I'm pretty sure) a Re-Blue and (slightly less sure) a re-barrel. Which is actually why I bought it, hoping that the SWHF has some documents on it.

Expensive???? C'mon down here, and you'll feel much better about your prices!
You did good - even that presentation box looks New In The Box.
