Default These Little Blued Guns Keep Showing Up

This M-51 and 3" M-37 showed up this weekend. Yes Ken, I did buy them. A little high priced but pretty nice examples. They should clean/shine up well. Matching stocks and the box for the 37.

Nice! The Model 51 is a great gun and not commonly seen. The last one I had I took out as a backup for rabbit hunting. This was probably 8-9 years ago and haven't found another locally in that time. I sold mine because someone offered me--at the tie--a ridiculous amount for it. Enjoy, they are fun to shoot.

Very nice. I guess I need to look for proper stocks for my flat latch 37. Picked it up a couple years ago for a great price. Came just as it is.

Love that 51!!

It is so nice of you to bring them in from the cold. It's a cruel world out there for those little fellows.

I am curious what people think of the 37 as a shooter, regardless of the "collectability", or how needy they may look when sitting neglected in their LGS cages, while all the big dogs are getting adopted and out the door,

The little blue guns that keep finding me are mostly 32s. They seem to be kind of a forgotten step children, both I and J.

I do have a few 38s. but the 32s have over ran their drawer in my safe

I learned to shoot with one. Model 30 or 31, can't remember. Even then it was an old and forgotten gun, but the part-time deputy who taught me actually carried one when off duty, LOL. He claimed it was an accomplishment when I graduated from being able to hit a barn door, to an oversized tomato can on a fence post. (His acomplishment, not mine, ROFL)

I love that 51!!! I found a well used one in a local pawn shop several years ago. It was the first one I had ever seen and due to the condition it was to cheap. After I got it home and looked it up in SCSW I realized it was not a common version. It's a 1960 (first year) flat-latch with a round butt. SCSW say only 600 were made with the round butt.

The round butt 51's are indeed rare, and I don't use that word often.

Very nice!! Nothing like that shows up around here, unless I buy it and import it. The used S&W's around here are a shame

The 51 is cool and seems to have its own following, but it's the 37 that rings my bell.

Square butt, diamond grips, flat latch, and 3" -- it's got it all!

Congrats.
