Default My New Model 27-2

Just came in this morning.
Was listed as unfired condition on GB.
Man, whether or not that's true, and I don't doubt it to be honest, I am on Cloud 9
My first ever model 27

Super nice!! My first one was used that was made in 1956. I've preferred the N frames ever since. Are you gonna shoot it or just admire it??

Oh man, I'm gonna shoot her and make her mine.
After putting her in hand, there's just no way I could not shoot her.

That's too pretty to shoot. Let me hold it for you to save you from temptation.

Thats a beautiful gun. I am a sucker for nickel. If I saw that for sale at a lGS or show I would be walking away with it. You did well. They do not make them like that anymore and they never will.

Absolutely correct. And to take a unfired discontinued piece and shoot it just means the remaining unfired ones have increased in value, slightly.

Default lighting and backdrop are important for pics

Wow!! Me too....I thought that gun was nickel too! Not until you just posted did I look at some of my pics of pre-27 and a blue 27-2 and my unfired nickel 27-2.

The way the lighting and the backdrop used sure does change the way the gun reflects (or not).

I finally just months ago got a decent DSLR camera, and a small portable photo booth and am just beginning to try for decent shots but I still have a very long way to go.

You are right on the money....they don't make em anymore, and you got a real beauty. Enjoy.

I would shoot it too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know some folks buy certain guns to admire them, and buy others to shoot. I can't afford to have both "lookers" and "shooters"....So every gun I buy gets shot. I will be picking up a 1969 27-2 six inch Sunday. I'm shooting it Monday!

Beautiful revolver you have there!

Thank you!!
And, congratulations on your 27-2!!
Ya know, if it were complete - its missing the original blue box and a tool, I may very well just put it up.
But, even still, I'm just not a collector.
I don't have enough money to collect. I just feel extremely lucky to have even scored this beauty. I will shoot her, but I'll also take extremely good care of her too
I would imagine your the same way.

Tell ya what fellas, that 586-4 I have is such a nice pistol. It even has a lighter trigger pull. But, man that model 27-2, is just pure magic.....lol, Ive never in my life felt as satisfied as I have been with this purchase!
And, Ive had some fairly nice guns, like Sig X5's, Sig German Sport models, nice 45 autos, but nothing and I mean nothing has felt as FINE as this model 27.
And, she is so tight, its like time traveling back to 1978, lol
Anyways, just look over me, I'm just floored by how nice she is and how darn well she feels in hand!
