M10-6 with a Lanyard Ring
I have not bought a new to me S&W in awhile. I am not a box and docs collector, I tend to buy shooters and what interests me. I have always wanted a M10 with a lanyard ring, not a Victory but a heavy barrel M10. A couple of weeks ago I was on Gunbroker just looking around and I saw a M10-6 with a lanyard ring listed from a California seller. They had just listed it there were two weeks left in the auction. It had been refinished and the hammer was jeweled. I went ahead and put a bid on it. I was winning up until right before the end of the auction, I had to up my bids a couple of times and I won. It is the most that I have paid for a M10 but it does have a lanyard ring!
I picked it up today and am quite happy with it. I believe that the action has been worked over some time in its life, it is very smooth and crisp. Varity is the spice of life and you really can't have too many M10's!

I'm a firm believer in getting the gun that "trips your trigger" ...regardless of other considerations. "I want it" is good enough for me ! The lanyard ring style and placment looks like those on the "Hong Kong" police revolvers.

I purchased a model 10, 4" heavy bbl at a pawn shop a few years ago. The lanyard ring prompted me to letter it. It came back to the Delaware State Police.

Please show us pictures of the butt of the gun without the grips if you get a chance. Thanks.
