Curious on what's the best way to store original wood grips after being replaced with other grips. Decided to keep my 29-2. Took the original like new grips off and shoot and enjoy it. Original grips in the picture. Thanks

I store my "good" spare grips in my cigar humidor.

Don't forget to add a note in the bag as to what firearm they are from. Especially those that are numbered. It saves time putting them back with the gun later.

You might also add good, clear, concise instructions for them to be placed back on or with their respective revolvers if for some reason you were to be hit by a large chunk of blue ice that falls from an aircraft.

Otherwise we run the risk of a large number of really nice examples on the market not having their original stocks!!!!!!!!!!!

I store my old grips/stocks in old shoebox's. Some in ziploc's.
I always like seeing or hearing new ideas on how to store them. Maybe one day I'll devote a cabinet or something for them. As I feel they are somewhat neglected.

Quart food-grade baggie with several stocks in one baggie. Stored in a covered plastic tub in my attic. Kept them like this for years without problem. Don't recall ever cleaning a stock and I'm sure I never waxed one.
No notes, but I can usually figure out what they fit.

I don’t worry about dirt or breakage. I worry about warping. I have mine in a wooden wine box, each one in Crown Royal bag. The grips that are originals for guns I still have are wrapped in tissue paper and in wooden box also. Run of mill grips are in cigar boxes. Gets mighty humid her in SE Ohio in summer.

All funning aside I keep my original stocks on their respective revolvers.

I simply keep a set of "shooting" stocks/grips for each frame size/style (Mostly N & K) and simply swap them out if I feel the need to shoot one of my collectibles and not risk damaging it's set of original stocks. When I'm done the revolver gets cleaned and the original stocks go back on. I sleep better at night that way.

I can usually find them new-in-box at guns shows, gunshops, flea markets, etc., many times at a very reduced price if they are somewhat older. Not too long ago I found a set of N-Frame Pachmayr grips new-in-box at a flea market for $5.

For me this seems to be the simplest method for me versus having "shooting" stocks for each and every collectible. Plus it allows me to place the original stocks back on their respective revolvers with less risk of them being permanently separated due to events outside of my control.

I don't typically mess with higher-end aftermarket stock replacements but I guess it could be an issue for folks wanting them mounted permanently on their usual range guns.

I never actually had most of the Revolvers these came with.

There's really no difference in these grips and the furniture in your house. Store away from direct sun light .

I do the same but also put a dessicant pack in the bag. I put each bag in the gun's original box. I've never had an issue.
