Pearl Grips
I bought these from Lee last week. They are my first pair of Pearl grips. I really like them, and it is very difficult to photograph their beauty. I decided to put them, for now, on my well worn Pre-10. Unfortunately, the right side of the gun is much nicer than the left. A previous owner got a little too eager when cleaning it with an abrasive. The fit is very good. What do you folks think? I will try them on some other guns later. Also, please post pictures of your Pearl gripped guns. I would love to see the many different ones you folks have. Thanks.

OK, here's mine. A 32 Safety hammerless shown with a pearl handled switchblacde, an improvised set of iron knuckles out of a bordello near the Ft. Worth stockyards, and an original guide to ladies of the evening in San Antonio along with ratings. For inquiring minds, the purse is period correct and the garter was from my father's "collection".

Got pearl on my two fanciest HE’s. That’s a HD up top and a 1926 below.

Just remember that they're fragile. Which is why my old Vaqueros don't have them on there anymore.
They do have nice faux ivory but pearl is just sexier.

I forgot to post these pictures of my pearl grips on a much nicer revolver. I think they look pretty good, but I think they would look best on a premium polished blued gun. I think the contrast of light and dark makes them pop!

This is my S&W .38 Safety Hammerless 2nd. model made
in 1897 with non-factory pearls. They sure feel nice in the
hand.

Dang! That looks like a crack on the lower right panel but I never noticed it before. I'll have to dig them out of the safe and look them over again.

Here 'ya go.
Factory
Dealer installed
The 2nd model Ladysmith above is interesting as it came with the original box and some ancient 22 long ammo. Bad photo but it's like new. Bought it from the grandkid of the original purchaser so those have probably been on there for the life of the gun.

They are very pretty. Hopefully, it is not a crack. The plastic backing is a neat idea too. But, you are right about shooting with them being an easy way to crack them. Especially on ones with the length, but thinness of magna style grips, like yours. The detail is amazing that a digital camera can pick up.

I like them just fine, they set off a blued gun very nicely.
However, there were others who didn't care for them too much:

Many years ago, I was an outside contractor doing some work at Ft Knox. I got to visit the museum and saw several of Patton’s handgun. I smiled when I realized two of them had pearl grips on them. As I remember a Colt auto (32 or 380) and a Browning 25.

LOL--I took the pic with my cell phone camera on my bathroom counter--the lighting works fine for those close ups.
Those are N-frame grips btw, they came with my 1968 vintage 57 4". The original stocks on the 57 are so nice I haven't tried putting the pearls on the gun.
