Smile Some of my "Shooters"

I was recently asked about my shooters. Model 29-2s from 1964 and 1972 (with Herrett Trooper stocks). Ruger Super Blackhawk from 1969 with a brass grip frame, Colt Python from 1969, and one of the first Sig P229s in .357 Sig. The target is from two weeks ago (44 Magnums at 35 yards). Click on the photos for a better look.

Bill

Nice group at 35. Those are some really nice 'shooter' grade guns!

Nice shooting and those checkered Herrett's Trooper stocks sure don't give up anything to the nicer S&W factory Goncalo Alves Target Stocks.
I was quite pleased to read that Herrett's isn't going out of business after all.

Doc
Your shooters look suspiciously like my safe queens. Why am I not surprised?

wow...an awesome group of guns and great shooting too. Put more wear on them and you can just keep them in the middle console off your truck.

Very nice. I'm thinking you need a little schoolin on the term "shooter grade". Examples provided.

Herrett's is NOT going out of business?? Realky? I was thrilled to get my Herrett Ropers that I ordered this summer after the nice lady told me they were only staying open until they had a buyer for the property. What happened?

My Sig 229 looks like yours. I have a 29-2 that’s close. After that, my shooters are not even close to your “shooters”. Very nice group. Enjoy.

Bill,
Great guns as usual. I was wondering something. Do you do anything special to keep your turn line to a bear minimum? Thanks.

Larry...nothing is done to minimize or doctor the turn line on the cylinder.
