Default New to me M67 no dash

I picked this up today. Very nice shape. I doubt a box has been fired through it. Numbered grips, box, docs and tools. Thanks Pastor Fred. The dark speed loader targets, I had on hand from Timetripper

Not a big stainless fan, but I am a M15 fan. Same thing, different color. Still may swap the grips with another gun. I bought Italian Olive Culinas for a 66 that I never got and doubt I will

Great find Pete. Those Italian Olive Culinas will look awesome on that gun. Put up a photo when they are installed please.

Has the rear sight been swapped out.

As far as I know, all "no-dash" had the natural stainless rear sights.

That is kind of what makes them a "no-dash".

Not true. The stainless sights were replaced in about a year or so. The -1 didn't arrive until five years after the Model 67 was introduced in 1972.

Here it is with Italian Olive satin finish I think I like it better this way. The dark grips went on a 15-2

Wow Pete. Those grips look beautiful. I think they found a new home. Thanks for sharing. I actually looked at that gun on the forum, but then stumbled into anther one I couldn’t afford.

It was not uncommon in early stainless Smiths for the lug holding the ejector latch to loosen under firing, also the screw securing the rear sight. Happened to me with my 67, 64 pencil bbl, 64 2" and 2 Model 60s. Easy enough to tighten, I guess, but not so easy to locate if they pop off on the firing line. Might want to secure with the proper color Loc-tite. Nail polish did not work for me.

Here's my 67 no dash. It had been badly abused when I got it, with lots
of pits and scratches. So I had a local smith bead blast it. I like the
result. I also like black contrast with silver, so I installed these Spegel
designed Butler Creek/Uncle Mike grips. Mine has the earlier stainless
rear sight. Your black rear sight came a little later.

I bought the olive grips in anticipation of a M66. Never fell into the luck of a reasonable one, so 67 was close enough. It's not like I don't have any 357's

Did you put fun grips on that nickel 586 you acquired?
