Got another 28-2 today.
Found this 28-2 at a local pawn shop, rusty, dry, dirty, wrong grips all good buying points for bargaining. Took 3 hours to disassemble, clean, lube and reassemble but it turned out great. I had this nice set of target grips which will have to do. It came with diamond center grips when new. This is one of the last "S" serial number revolvers and made in 1966. I paid $500 down from $650.

Great find. No way to find those around here for that price anymore. I love the 28-2 and will buy any I find at a price like that these days.
