Default A model 48 and some stag ....

I bought this beautiful M48 (circa 1978) a few months ago. I wanted a long tube and I just figured the 22 mag would be a lot of fun.

While I normally love and prefer nice wood stocks on my old Smiths, this combo never really “did it” for me and the revolver just sat in the safe.

I’d also purchased a set of stag magnas from our own bgmtnman a few months ago because I felt I would find a proper home for them ..... but never really did (I love wood) so they sat in the safe too.

While driving down a boring freeway a week or so ago I got to thinking, those stags and that M48 could really work nice together! I got home and put them together and WOW, they really do look great and the feel is phenomenal. The combo works perfectly on the range too! Some pics just because ...

Now that is an absolutely a great combo and I will bet that you get your share of "what chew shooting" at the range.

Yep, ANY 22 magnum get folks attention at the range, from the noise they make. But that one is especially attractive!

I have those same grips, but they just look better on that 48 than they do my 15 for some reason. Nice pictures too.

Very nice, I like 48s with stags too, even on a shorter barrel.

Yep... When you find the grips that "work" it is a SMILE !
The pic. is my smile for the moment .... Two pre-war M&P . I never did care for how K service stocks felt in my hand. These feel ALOT better.
